2001,
16 October - the land for the 0,3 Mtpa Romelt plant of National Mineral Development Corporation
at Nagarnar, District Jagdalpur, Chattisgarh State, India has been
acquired by NMDC. NMDC has also signed the General Consultancy, Project
Management & Construction Supervision contracts with M/s RSIL, the
Indian partner of AMET Ltd. in the construction of the first plant
based on the Romelt technology in the world.
2001, 24 September - the negotiations with Steel Plant of Neelachal Ispat Nigham Limited continue. AMET Ltd., after reviewing the situation with Blast Furnace, offered to delegate 15 specialists because the period of stay of the specialists at the plant has been fixed as only 6 months. So, to get the best results from the work in such conditions more specialists are needed. Expected time of signing the contract - the last quarter of 2001.
2001, 30 June - the negotiations with Steel plant of Neelachal Ispat Nigham Limited, India have started. Subject - rendering Technical Assistance services at a new blast furnace. The plant has recently bought an Italian blast furnace of 1800 m3 capacity. It is proposed that 12 Russian blast furnace operators will be invited to assist during commisioning putting into operation of the furnace.
2001, 28 May - some information about the work of AMET Ltd. specialists at Bokaro Steel Plant.
Despite the adverse conditions Bokaro Steel Plant works well. At the end of the 2000-2001 financial year the gross profit of the plant was 1000 Crores, and net profit - 150 Crores Rupies....
